Conversations with Torah
Posted by meghanbreeze on September 28, 2009
Torah: What ya doin? (this question is asked about every 5 min!)
Mommy: What are you doing?
Torah: Still pooping!
Mommy and Daddy: laughing at this point
Torah: Dear Jesus, please help me poop!
How funny is that! But at the same time, so glad that she is getting it, you know. She needed help, so she asked Jesus for help.
Another funny conversation with Torah
background info: We were driving up to meet jacob’s parents in bloomington and some car cut me off, so I was yelling at him inside the car
Torah responds: Mommy, you’re talking to yourself!
Yeah, that’s right, totally got called out by our 2 yr. old daughter

Fun with Friends
Posted by meghanbreeze on August 30, 2009
This past week we had fun with some great friends! Torah and I went to the Houston Children’s Museum with Jenny and Daphne and then on Saturday we went to Daphne’s 2nd birthday party. We know Chris, Jenny and Daphne from when we lived in Katy. They are a great family with a ton of talent
Chris is a photographer, Jenny is the craftiest person I’ve ever met, not to mention she takes great pictures as well and Daphne is just straight up adorable! The museum was lots of fun, as was the birthday party. Daphne and Torah are 4 days apart, I don’t think you would guess that when you see them stand next to one another
It’s great to have friends who have kids the same age, the girls play really well together and it’ll be great to watch them grow up together. Here are a few pictures from our fun outings and I’m pretty sure they are all ones Jenny took! Be sure to check out her blog and see all the fun felt food she made for Daphne, adorable AND check out the picture of the fabulous messenger bag she made for Torah! I would totally wear the bag if I could

And here is the fantabulous bag Jenny made

Torah’s 2nd Birthday!
Posted by meghanbreeze on August 26, 2009
Here are a few pictures of things we did for Torah’s birthday. We had an actual party back in June, before Jacob moved to find us a house. I’ll post pics of that later this week. We pretty much did a bunch of stuff all weekend; went to eat at a friends house on Friday and they made Torah cupcakes with a candle for her and then on Sunday they had a party for her in between services. I’m talking, cake, balloons, drinks and snacks and they sang “Happy Birthday” to her. It was great, really made me happy to be a part of this church. I didn’t want to post all the pics, so I made a slide show, however couldn’t figure out how to put it on the blog, so just click on the links below. Here are a couple pics though

On Monday, Torah’s actual birthday we went to Noah’s Ark Pool. I had heard about it from a few friends and decided it would be fun to check out. Plus school started on Monday, so I knew it wouldn’t be crazy busy. The place was great and we all had a great time.
Later that day, after we all had naps
We headed out for ice cream, Torah really isn’t into cake, so we thought ice cream would be fun. We hit up Ben & Jerry’s b/c we didn’t really know of any other place to go, that’s what happens when you are new to a city. She enjoyed her sugar free chocolate chop ice cream with sprinkles very much
After that we headed home so she could open her presents from us. She would have had more to open b/c family had sent presents throughout the week, but we weren’t thinking and let her open them when they came… oops! We got her a puzzle, which is also a set of tea party books and a cute bracelet. She is all about the accessories, so we knew she would love it and she does! It looks like one Aunt Caitie has, so we think that is why she loves it so much
All in all, it was a great day. I still can’t believe she is two already, time has completely flown by! She continues to make us laugh (constantly), amazes us at how much she knows and how well she communicates, and we feel very fortunate that we are her parents and find ourselves very grateful to have such a healthy, wonderful daughter.

Thirtyone
Posted by meghanbreeze on August 16, 2009
After a few months of living with my parents and Jacob working at a local coffee shop, I decided it was time for me to find a job. My mom had given me a few gifts from the ThirtyOne catalog and I really enjoyed the bags. Very practical and stylish. The more I read about the company the more I became interested in it. I could set my own hours and work as much as I wanted! I’m still getting used to everything and trying to build new clients here in Houston, but wanted to give everyone my web address and info, please check it out and let me know what you think. It’s a great company with great products! If you find something you like, shoot me an email or you can order online, even have a book party if you are not in the Houston area! Click here for the link
