Look at all those teeth! She has 2 more coming through on the bottom!
We are off to get ready for family day Torah gets a special treat today for sleeping all night in her bed without fussing. She had got into the habit of waking up once or twice a night and us getting up with her, this week we let her cry it out on Monday and ever since she has slept all night without fussing! And she also went #2 in her potty chair this week! So we are off to find a special treat for her today! Have a great weekend
I will admit, I stole this from whittakerwoman. It’s just a fun little thing to do and see how accurate it is. Jacob and I both did this and it was interesting to see the different styles. Check out sproost.com
This is a little off subject, but the title made me think of it. Is anyone a fan of Chelsea Lately? I am a huge fan, the woman is HILARIOUS! Anyway, just a random little thought, if you are up at 10pm and have the E! channel, you can watch her show there.
Things Torah has been up to:
Talking all the time: most words I can understand, some I can’t. But I can tell what she is wanting, she definetley makes that known
She is somewhat of a drama queen, for example: We were at the Katy Mills Mall at the play area and a little boy came down the slide while she was going up the slide (now I know she shouldn’t be going up the slide, but it is a car with a slide on it with no stairs, no other way for her to get up there) Anyway, the boy knocked her down and as soon as she hit the ground she was fine, until I started to walk over to see if she was ok, she then threw her hands over her eyes and began to cry! DRAMA, we are in for a ride, I do believe
Not for sure her stats right now, we take her to the doctor at the end of the month. I know she has grown a ton, anxious to find out how tall she is
She loves to give hugs, kisses and high fives. I she gives me a high five, she has to give Jacob one as well, even if she has to walk all around the house to find him
We have turned a corner with nursery and my Mom to Mom bible study. For about 2 or 3 weeks we would get our number called during church to go get Torah. Since then we haven’t had to go get her, plus no tears while dropping her off or during nursery time. I can’t tell you how much of a relief it is that she stays in nursery and enjoys herself, it is nice to be able to sit through service with Jacob and actually enjoy it, instead of holding her and trying to keep her quiet
We got a potty chair for her this week, actually two. One that goes on the toilet and a stand alone potty seat. Not sure if I’m ready to commit 100% yet, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have her get used to the potty seats for awhile and slowly introduce it to her. She already helps flush and say bye bye to the toilet paper, so we’ll see how things go. If anyone has tips, please send them my way!
I’m sure there are other things I’m leaving out, but my mind is pretty much shutting down. If I think of anything else, I’ll do another post. I do have a video, surprise surprise. Torah loves to dance and I think the video shows, it also shows that different genres that Torah listens to This girl just loves ANY kind of music!
She actually enjoyed opening her present for Valentine’s Day! At Christmas she didn’t seem too interested in opening the presents, but in just a few months that all has changed!
She got Plex and Foofa for Valentine’s Day, this completes her Yo Gabba Gabba set. Here she is looking at all of her Yo Gabba Gabba friends
Torah has been playing with all of her stuffed friends a lot lately. I’ll be in our bedroom getting ready or cleaning and I can hear her talking with them! It is so cute to see her interact and see her imagination coming out. The other day she was pretending to change her babydoll’s diaper! Here are a few pictures of her with her friends and a video to go along with it.
Torah has been quite the goofball lately, she cracks us up all the time! She is changing more and more everyday, which is exciting but kind of sad at the same time. I can’t believe how fast the past 17 months have gone by! She talks all the time, some of which we can’t quite understand at times She knows what she wants and doesn’t want, which can is great, but at times not so great. She is climbing everywhere and loves to tackle you whenever you are on the floor. We are pretty close to getting rid of the pacifier, woo hoo! She has only been using it when it’s time for bed, the other evening I asked her is she wanted her pacifier for bed and she said, “no!” So, we are making progress, hopefully next month we will be pacifier free!!!! The weather has been beautiful lately, so we have been outside as much as possible. I still have to remind myself that it is February, weird to have the windows open in the house and have on shorts in February! Although, I have no complaints about that, now maybe in June when it is blazing here, I may have some complaints:) Enough rambling, here are some recent pictures of Torah being her goofy self.
