Torah’s Photoshoot

Posted by meghanbreeze on December 22, 2008

Last week we had Torah’s pictures taken, we haven’t had any professional pictures taken since she was 9 months, so we figured it was time :) They turned out wonderful! Here are a few of the shots. They were taken by Chris Denbow, if anyone lives in the Houston area, check out his website.

A few pictures from today

moose-4

All afternoon she played with her moose and her rocking chair. I believe she was trying to bite off the moose eyes  :) She is getting another tooth right now, so she has been chewing on everything. That will make tooth #13

She really enjoys her chucks, she often carries them all around the house with her :)

I think I’ve created a monster, she LOVES shoes!! For some reason she has been wanting to put everything in her crib and play (?)  Today she wanted all of her shoes :)

La Centerra

Posted by meghanbreeze on December 19, 2008

La Centerra is an outdoor mall area that we often go to walk around. It is a great place to go and just relax. They have all sorts of activities throughout the week and live music on weekends.  Here are a few we snapped while we were there last weekend.

A few more photos

Gotta love that smile! And yes that is a barrette in her hair, it’s finally getting long enough to sweep her bangs to the side:)

While Mamaw and Papa were here, we had Christmas in November since we are unable to make it back to Illinois for the holidays. Torah got a new kitchen for Christmas and she LOVES it! And I won’t lie, I do have lots of fun watching her and interacting with her while she cooks.

Look at those teeth!

A cute outfit and some leftover ketchup on her face :)

Just love her in her footed jammies

Torah has been talking up a storm lately! So far she is saying: Mama, dada, Mamaw, Papa, more, baby, bye bye, hi, cracker and I’m sure I am leaving out some, but you get the idea. She knows where her hair, ears, nose, eyes, mouth, hands, feet, belly button and booty are. It’s so cute you ask her where and she just points to each body part, I love it :) If you ask her what a duck, horse, sheep, cow, dog, monkey and lion says, she will make the animal sound. I am amazed at how much she is learning and taking in. Time is going by so fast, I say it all the time, but it is SO true. She is just a bundle of joy, she cracks us up all the time. Lately, she has been twirling when she hears music and bobs her head like crazy. She enjoys watching The Backyardigans and Yo Gabba Gabba.

Hopefully, I will be able to update the blog more consistently with us “borrowing” an internet connection.

All settled in

Posted by meghanbreeze on December 10, 2008

Well, it has been a LONG time since I’ve written! I feel like I’ve had a good excuse, with the whole moving thing and not having internet :) We’ve lucked out and are able to pick up our neighbors wi-fi.. I know I know probably not the best thing to do, but hey it works! Things have been good for the Breeze family down here in Texas. I would have to say though, that I am just now feeling settled. The past month has been pretty hectic for us though. Torah came down with a throat infection and the following week she had an ear infection. Those 2 weeks were no fun at all, I hate seeing her feel so miserable. Poor thing, lost 2 lbs. in 2 weeks and is just now starting to eat. The past few days she is finally acting like her “normal” self, although getting her back on her sleep schedule is another story. She has been a trooper though.

Besides the sickness, things are going great. We love our new house, love the town and love love our new church. The people are great and have really made us feel welcome and at home. A great thing when you move 18 hours away from everyone you know and love.  The weather has been crazy, that will take some getting used to. Weird to have our Christmas tree up and Torah running around in shorts and t-shirt :) I can’t complain though, not missing the snow and ice at all! However today it was 80 degrees and by 6PM it was 45 degrees, can you see why people get sick around here! I’ll try to write more later, but until then here are a ton of pictures!

Torah pouncing at the camera in her new hat

Just being goofy

Our little flower :) She wasn’t thrilled to be dressed up. We had a very long day at the Houston zoo, then she fell and bumped her head as we were heading out to the church for the Fall Festival. Needless to say, not many smiles that evening!

Went to a local pumpkin patch with a Mom’s group from church

picture-7

Playing with her magnets that Mamaw and Papa brought her. Mamaw and Papa came to visit us about a week before Thanksgiving, it was great to have them here and Torah got very spoiled :) BTW, I can’t believe how big she looks in this picture!

Papa and Torah in their Cardinal shirts. This is when Torah was not feeling well, if you can’t tell. While mom and dad were here Torah was up one night vomiting all night, I can’t tell you how glad I was that my mom was here to help!
