What A Wonderful Weekend!

November 28, 2007

This past weekend was so wonderful! First of all, Thanksgiving was great. We got to see all the family and hang out and Torah did pretty good. A little of schedule, but she did great! I really didn’t take many pictures during Thanksgiving, too busy visiting and eating :) However, I do have some pictures of our weekend trip to Indiana. All of our old small group (or as we call it, our other family!) met up at the Hornbrooks in Greenwood, Indiana. It was such a great weekend, I can’t say that enough. The Reagans hadn’t met Torah yet and the Hornbrooks hadn’t seen Torah since she was 1 week old! It was a great reunion :) Torah and Levi had a little photo shoot together. I must say they look pretty good together :) .

I didn’t know what to expect of our first out of state travel with Torah, but she did wonderful. She slept the entire way there and back! And she absolutely loved being around everyone. You see, Saturday night there were 7 couples, 4 kids and a dog hanging out at the Hornbrooks. Torah loved watching everyone, she was just jabbering away. She slept through the night and took a nap during church, so it was pretty easy going. So, I was nervous for nothing, b/c she did wonderful. I will be a little more nervous about our next trip to see the Hornbrooks b/c that will be in California! They are moving in February to plant a church in Chula Vista, California!

All in all, we had an amazing time hanging out with the BEST small group EVER. Hopefully we’ll be getting together soon, hint hint! If any of you are reading, I LOVE you guys and MISS you! Enough jabbering, here are the pictures :)

3 months already!

November 21, 2007

I just can’t believe it, 3 months have gone by soooooo fast! We just went today and got Torah’s pictures taken. We went to the fantastic VGallery in Morton, Illinois. They were so nice and their studio was utterly amazing. Check out their site:
www.vgallery.net

She did so wonderful and I can’t wait to view the photos in a few weeks. Torah seems to be learning something new everyday. She loves to make all sorts of noises with her mouth, it just cracks me up. She loves to lay under her mobile and just squeal, that is my favorite noise that she makes (for right now!) I think I may have a video of that, so I’ll have to post it. She is sitting up so well, in fact she pulls herself up when I’m holding her.

Last Friday, Torah and I headed to Bloomington to hang out with Katie and Lincoln. We had a great time catching up. We even got pictures of Torah and Lincoln, unfortunately Ellie wasn’t home that day, but hopefully Torah will meet her soon:) Thanks again Katie for having us over. We need to set up another play date.

This coming weekend, we are heading to Indy to meet up with THE BEST small group ever!!!!!! It’s gonna be a great weekend, and also our first long distance trip. So, that should be interesting. I’ll be sure to post pictures. Torah gets to meet the Reagan family for the first time, so excited about that. And hopefully, we’ll get some pictures of Joni, who is having a BOY in March:) She looks adorable pregnant!

I’ll be sure to write some more in a few days, plus more pictures. Enjoy these for now:) Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

In her new bouncy seat that Luke and Layne (picture below of the wonderful Moore family!) let her borrow. She loves it! By the way, isn’t Luke just adorable! Torah is going to have so many boys to choose from :) Don’t mention that to Jacob though, he already freaks out about that :)

Torah (3 months old) and Lincoln (7 months old) They looked like they were just about the same length, but Lincoln loved to bend his legs.

She likes to stand up and she looks so cute when she does.

Such a hard day! This is her new thing. She is either rubbing her left eye or when she falls asleep she has her hand over both eyes. As to say, “Oh, it’s just too much!”

Great Website To Check Out

November 15, 2007

While browsing some new websites and trying to find some unique things for Torah I came across this great website. It has links to all kinds of great websites for preggo ladies, and those with kids. They even have promotional codes for most websites for so much money off your order! How awesome is that:) Have fun checking it out!

Ready for Winter

November 10, 2007

Mamaw bought Torah new mittens and a hat for the cold weather that all of a sudden came upon us. They are a little big on her, but look pretty cute. Torah was hamming it up for the camera when we put the hat and gloves on her. Take a look.

The next one is of Jacob after he finally got his hair cut and shaved. He didn’t shave for almost 6 weeks! Big difference and I’m thinking the new Jacob is looking pretty good:)

Yes, another video!

November 10, 2007

Torah has really been lifting her head off of her boppy and whenever she is sitting in her swing or bouncy seat. We’ve been video taping her all the time b/c we feel like she’s been changing everyday. Hope you enjoy it!

Looking in the Mirror

November 3, 2007

I was getting ready yesterday and Torah was sitting in her papasan chair just watching me and smiling, it was great. It’s those kind of things that I just love. I had a mirror I was holding and decided to put it in front of Torah to see how she would react. It was so funny, I wish I could have video taped it. But luckily I did snap a few photos. She immediately started smiling and laughing at herself. It was great! Here are the pictures of her looking in the mirror. She is miss personality!

The next picture she will probably kill me for posting it once she is older, but I thought it was too funny not to post. I was changing her clothes and she is always doing hilarious things when she’s on her changing table.

I’ve been practicing with her most everyday in her bebe pod. She has been really holding her head good and likes to sit in it.

Halloween

November 1, 2007

We decided not to go all out for Halloween this year. We figured we would wait until next year to really dress Torah up. It would’ve been so difficult to get her in and out of the car seat. So, she just wore a Halloween onesie this year, and yeah she looks like a boy! I had a few people say that tonight, actually we get it all the time. It mainly is just senior citizens and we’ve decided to not correct them. We had her in a jean skirt, pink top and a pink blanket and a older woman still asked if it was a boy! We just smile now:)

Sorry, I went of on a little tangent! Torah’s 1st Halloween was fun, we passed out candy at Mamaw and Grandpa’s house b/c Jacob was working. Torah was able to see her cousins all dressed up and lots of other visitors that came by. I didn’t know if the costumes would scare her or not, but they sure didn’t. Not much to say about Halloween, except I can’t wait to dress her up next year!

Some exciting things: Torah is going on week 2 of sleeping through the night:) Loving that! I’ve been putting her to bed at the same time each night and waking her in the morning at the same time and it seems to be working.

We are meeting w/ a photographer next week to set up Torah’s 3 month pictures. We are really excited about them. I can’t wait to have some professional pictures of her to frame. Now I’m thinking of what outfits to put her in, that’s gonna be a hard one for me!halloween-leaning.jpg

My mom bought Torah this pumpkin when we went to Tanner’s Orchard. We were also pretending to be photographers and put a backdrop behind her.

You can see on her shirt that she’s drooling like crazy these days!

I think her cheeks just keep getting bigger and bigger!
